Brian D. Miller is the author of Kayaking with Lambs: Notes from an East Tennessee Farmer and the newsletter Notes from an East Tennessee Farmer.  He farms with his aforementioned beloved, Cindy — raising beef, sheep, hogs, and poultry in what John Muir called the “small slanting valleys” of East Tennessee.
