Dr. Anthony Esolen

Anthony Esolen is the grandson of Pennsylvania coal miners, Italian by birth and Roman Catholic by the grace of God. He is the author or translator of more than two dozen books on literature and language, culture, sacred music, and the Christian faith, including the three-volume Modern Library edition and translation of Dante's Divine Comedy (Random House), and The Hundredfold: Songs for the Lord (Ignatius Press), a book-length poem and collection of poems centered upon the life of Christ. He and his wife Debra have begun a new web magazine, Word and Song, as a salvo in reclaiming the high ground of the imagination for people who still love the world God made, and man in His image, male and female.
